Natalie! Spot on. Small businesses are now able to target advertising and marketing dollars more specifically to ensure money is not being wasted. For small business, this means you dont HAVE to place an advert in yellow pages to reach your target audience. You can pick and choose from a multitude of available mediums to achieve a much better result for much less money.
The time of Yellow pages is over. Great article

I’m 25 and I barely remember what the yellow pages are … I dont understand how some people are successful!

Thanks for your comment Maree – I think Yellow Pages captured the market for so many years that it is actually quite difficult to walk away and not avertise anymore for lots of people.Well done for stepping out!

Oh I couldn’t agree with you more!
I did take out a basic listing (with website etc) for a year- let me tell you only about two of my clients found me that way-not only that they actually printed my postcode and something else incorrectly.
I just said to a friend recently that I did not renew (will just get the free listing for businesses) and that my marketing money could be better spent elsewhere.
