What is a Hyperlink?

A link (often highlighted or underlined) inside text. Clicking on it can direct people to another location or file. It is typically activated by clicking on a highlighted word or image on the screen and very important to have as many as possible in your website text or email marketing. Indeed hyperlinked text on your website is also very important for search engine optimisation (SEO).

You can insert hyperlink in most word processing or website editors using the button that looks like a ‘chain’. But don’t forget the http:// at the beginning of the link that you include.
